Introduction
Fredco Golf is a highly reputable, fully-staffed golf course and landscape construction company. We are well-equipped to provide your project with the necessary assistance to make your construction projects a success. We employ only the most experienced shapers, laborers, project managers, and irrigation supervisors. Outstanding communication between superintendents, architects, and greens committee members is the key to our success. Mark Tortoriello, Vice President of Fredco Golf, has been in the golf course industry for fifteen years. Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Turfgrass Management and Landscape Architecture, he began his career in 1993 at Baltusrol Golf Club. Since then he has worked as an assistant golf course superintendent and construction supervisor, maintaining and renovating golf courses throughout the tri-state area.
Staff
Our project managers, foremen, shapers and laborers have many years of golf course construction experience. We understand the importance of maintaining the beauty and pristine conditions of your golf course. We are consciously aware of your club’s play schedules and always strive to accommodate them. Our shapers have many years experience working with renowned golf course architects. We also offer shaping services for in-house projects. With superintendents’ schedules so rigorous during the golf season, we offer experienced laborers to help with sodding, seeding, topsoiling, mulching, hydroseeding, and drainage projects needed to ensure a successful season start-up.
Equipment
We have state of the art equipment which enables us to build quickly and efficiently. We have a wide range of bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and off-road vehicles to handle any size job. When building tees we use laser grading technology. Our off-road vehicles are equipped with flotation tires to protect the existing golf course conditions.
Architectural Services
On-staff landscape architects can help accommodate all of your club design wishes. We offer in-house design/build services and we will incur the costs of design to help save your club large design fees.
Site Work and Maintenance Buildings
Fredco Golf can accommodate your club with constructing a new maintenance facility, including parking lots, all underground piping, and curbing.
Structures
With our long history in landscape construction and municipal work, we have a great deal of experience in building unique structures and stone features. Retaining walls, bridges, culverts, concrete castings, and decorative stone cart paths are our specialty.
Drainage
Fredco Golf has corrected many of the drainage issues at some of the leading clubs in New Jersey. We make sure we use the right equipment, stone, and drainage mixes to best accommodate your course’s needs. We offer fairway, green, and tee drainage installation. During construction we always take into consideration protecting areas of the golf course that are not under construction. We use plywood to transport machinery, and off-road vehicles to protect existing turf.
